Teen Killer, Aiden Fucci Quick Recap: Sum It Up

Who:  At the age of 14, Aiden Fucci was arrested as the only suspect in the murder of his classmate, 13-year-old, Tristyn Bailey.

What:  Tristyn Bailey’s parents reported her missing after finding she was not home to celebrate Mother’s Day with her family.  Tristyn was later found a mile and a half from Aiden Fucci’s home, in the woods.  Aiden Fucci was the last person seen with Tristyn Bailey and was arrested and charged with second degree murder.  Once the cause of death was revealed, Fucci’s charge was changed to first-degree murder as an adult.  Tristyn Bailey was stabbed 114 times.

When:  On May 8, 2021 Tristyn Bailey had dinner with her family and later watched tv with her brother.  Sometime after her brother went to sleep, she snuck out.  She was then seen walking with Aiden Fucci at 12:15 a.m. on the morning of May 9, 2021.  One hour later, Fucci was seen on the same surveillance camera, running in the opposite direction with his shoes in his hands.  Her family reported her missing the same day and she was later found dead in the woods that evening, May 9, 2021.

Where:  St. John’s County, Jacksonville Florida

Why: During his sentencing trial it was evidenced there was no motive for the crime.  Aiden Fucci was obsessed with horror and gore.  He often talked about killing people with his friends.  Weeks prior to the incident he told his friends he was going to lure a stranger to the woods and then stab them to death.  There was no rhyme or reason to who he would lure, it was a premeditated crime of opportunity.

Disposition: Guilty, Life with Parole in 25 years
